SLFPA lawyers predicts coastal lawsuits will continue, one way or another

The Louisiana trial lawyer who’s made millions off of lawsuits against energy producers and the petrochemical industry was recently interviewed by former New Orleans Times-Picayune Outdoor Editor Bob Marshall as part of a newsmaker discussion held by the Lens news blog site.


Gladstone Jones, the lead attorney in the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East lawsuit against more than 90 oil and gas companies, said that even if the controversial levee board lawsuit is dismissed in federal court later this month, the lawyers have no intention of giving up.


“Ultimately, whether this case, a private landowner case, a class action, I think it is inevitable that [a settlement] will happen,” Jones boastfully predicted.
